Would you like to come and look at some of the music and drama materials held by the library service for groups to stage performances? You don’t have to be a member of any of our existing societies, but it is important to ring and make a booking because we will need to know how many to expect on any day. Bring a colleague or two as well if you wish.
Have a look at our list of dates for this year and our suggested programme if you are at all interested.
All sessions will be located at the Bowran Street building in Preston, but please note there are no parking facilities available and you may wish to consider park and ride or other public transport schemes instead.
Feedback from our trial November Open Days suggests that you may value the opportunity to browse our collections of orchestral sets, vocal sets or drama sets and meet other society members at the same time. It may also be possible to use our computers to explore relevant music and drama information sources too, if you so wish.
All sessions will begin with coffee, biscuits and a brief introduction. Each session will be very informal and very flexible, so you are free to arrive and depart at your own convenience. The main focus for each session is an attempt to enable like minded societies to attend together, but it is still possible to book for whichever session you are able to attend, regardless of the main focus. Total numbers will be limited to approximately 20 at each session so it may be advisable to book early.
Please telephone the Bowran Street reception desk on (01772) 534003 to book your place or to find out more details.
