Home Library Service and services to disabled people

The Library Service is committed to providing a full and equal service to disabled and housebound people, and is working both locally and nationally to try to improve access for people with a range of disabilities and circumstances.

In addition, the Library Service has established an Access to Services Group which is reviewing all aspects of access to services. Contact us at libraries@lcl.lancscc.gov.uk

All library staff receive training in customer care and a programme of disability awareness training for all staff, developed in liaison with disabled people, is underway.
