| Statement of Community Involvement | This explains how the Council will meet the minimum requirements for community involvement in the preparation of framework documents, how it will seek to reach and engage with an extensive range of people and groups, and how it will achieve continuous community involvement. |
| Scoping Report for Sustainability Appraisal | This sets out the process by which the policies and proposals in the MWDF are appraised (sustainability appraisal and strategic environmental assessment) to ensure that they contribute to the aims of Sustainable Development. |
| Core Strategy | Sets out the long-term spatial vision for the local planning authority area, the spatial objectives, and outlines the strategic policies required to deliver that vision. |
| Site Specific Policies and Allocations | This refers to allocation of sites for specific development to be contained in MWDPDs. Policies will identify any specific requirements for individual proposals. |
| Generic Development Control Policies | A series of criteria-based policies which ensure that all development within the area meets the spatial vision and spatial objectives set out in the Core Strategy. |
| Proposals Map | Illustrates all the policies contained in MWDPDs, together with any saved policies. It is revised as each new MWDPD is adopted, and will always reflect the up-to-date minerals and waste planning strategy for the area. |
| Supplementary Planning Documents | These provide policy guidance in support of the Development Plan Documents and will carry significant weight in the determination of planning applications. |
