Core Strategy Examination
The Independent Planning Inspector, Stephen Pratt BA (Hons) MRTPI, has prepared his Report on the Examination into the Lancashire Minerals & Waste Core Strategy Development Plan Document.
The Report contains the Inspector’s assessment of the Core Strategy along with his recommendations and the reasons for them, as required by Section 20(7) of the 2004 Act.
The Inspector’s overall conclusion is that the Core Strategy is sound, provided it is changed in the ways specified in his Report. The Report refers to all the changes needed to make the CoreStrategy sound, with detailed wording set out in the accompanying Annex to his Report.
The Joint Authorities will now proceed to formally adopt the Core Strategy, which is anticipated in February 2009.
