The Waste & Minerals Policy Group is responsible for:

The preparation, monitoring and review of the Minerals and Waste Development Framework.
Monitoring and Reviewing the Municipal Waste Management Strategy.
Reviewing the Joint Minerals and Waste Local Plan.
Contribution to Policy Development on Waste and Minerals matters in the Joint Structure Plan.
Monitoring and Comment on Waste and Minerals Proposals in Plans and Strategies of Neighbouring Authorities.
Commenting on Waste and Minerals aspects of Regional Planning Guidance.
The provision of Advice on Government Guidance Notes and other relevant National Publications.
