THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(TIBER STREET, PRESTON, PRESTON CITY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2008
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle or cycle from proceeding over that length of Tiber Street, Preston, from its junction with Arno Street to its junction with Herschell Street, in the City of Preston.
An alternative route for vehicular traffic and cyclists affected by the closure is via: -
Tiber Street – Halsbury Street – Manchester Road – Arno Street and vice versa.
Access to properties will be maintained where possible.
The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow main sewer repairs to be carried out.
The prohibition will be operative from Monday 27th October 2008 until Friday 21st November 2008, or until completion of the works within this period.
