Traffic Regulation Order

THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(MOUNSEY ROAD, BAMBER BRIDGE, SOUTH RIBBLE BOROUGH)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2008

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle, cycle or pedestrian from proceeding over that length of Mounsey Road, Bamber Bridge, from its junction with Station Road to its junction with Jackson Street, in the Borough of South Ribble.

An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via: -

Jackson Street – Wesley Street – Station Road and vice versa.

Access to properties will be maintained wherever and whenever possible.

The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.

The temporary closure is necessary to allow sewer repairs to be carried out.

The prohibition will be operative from 07.00 hours on Monday 27th October 2008 until 19.00 hours on Sunday 2nd November 2008, or until completion of the works within this period.
