(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) 2008
EXTENSION OF NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Notice made by the Lancashire County Council on Wednesday 1st October 2008, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle, cycle or pedestrian from proceeding over that length of Moor Lane, Padiham, from its junction with Hargrove Avenue to its junction with Guy Street, for a distance of 295 metres in the Borough of Burnley, will now be in operation until 17.00 hours on Friday 17th October 2008, or until the work is completed within this period.
An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via: -
THROUGH TRAFFIC Church Street – Whalley Road – Barrowford Road.
LOCAL TRAFFIC Guy Street – Garden Street – Hargrove Avenue
Access to properties will be maintained at all times.
The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow emergency repairs on gas mains to be carried out.
