Traffic Regulation Order
THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(B5248 CHURCH ROAD, LEYLAND, SOUTH RIBBLE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2008
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle or cycle from proceeding over that length of B5248 Church Road, Leyland, from its junction with Towngate to its junction with St Andrews Way, in the Borough of South Ribble.
An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via: -
- St Andrews Way – Towngate – Lancastergate – Broadfield Drive – West Paddock – Fox Lane and vice versa.
- Worden Lane – Langdale Road – Church Road and vice versa.
Access to properties will be maintained wherever and whenever possible.
The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.
The temporary closure is necessary to allow road surface repairs to be carried out.
The prohibition will be operative from 07.00 hours on Monday 27th October 2008 until 21.00 hours on Sunday 2nd November 2008, or until completion of the works within this period.
