(BROWN STREET, ACCRINGTON, HYNDBURN BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2008
EXTENSION OF ORDER
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by the Lancashire County Council on Wednesday 24th September 2008, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle or cycle from proceeding over that length of Brown Street, Accrington, from its junction with Ormerod Street, to its junction with Willows Lane, in the Borough of Hyndburn, will now be in operation until 17.00 hours on Wednesday 15th October 2008.
An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via: -
Ormerod Street – Willows Lane and vice versa.
Access to properties will be maintained at all times.
The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.
The temporary closure is necessary to allow emergency highway maintenance works to be carried out.
