(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2008
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle or cycle from proceeding over that length of:-
An alternative route for vehicular traffic and cyclists affected by the closure is via:-
THROUGH TRAFFIC A59 (High Lane, Liverpool Road South) – A5209 (Square Lane, Briars Lane, Lowry Hill Lane, Course Lane, Ash Brow, Alder Lane, Parbold Hill, Sparrow Hill, Hall Lane, Crow Orchard Road) – Junction 27 M6 Southbound – Exit at Junction 26 – M58 – Exit Junction 3 – A570 to Ormskirk (Liverpool Road, Ormskirk Road, St Helens Road).
EAST BOUND TRAFFIC A59 County Road – B5197 Aughton Street – A570 Park Road - A577 St Helens Road
WEST BOUND TRAFFIC A570 Southport Road (one way only).
SOUTH BOUND AND RESIDENTIAL TRAFFIC Scarisbrick Street - Green Lane - A570 Southport Road – A59 County Road.
Access to properties will be maintained at all times.
The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow resurfacing of the carriageway/ footway to be carried out.
The prohibition will be operative from 00.00 hours on Monday 20th October 2008 until 24.00 hours on Friday 7th November 2008, or until completion of the works within this period.
