Traffic Regulation Order

THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(TODD CARR ROAD, WATERFOOT, ROSSENDALE BOROUGH)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2008

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle or cycle from proceeding over that length of Todd Carr Road, Waterfoot, from its junction with Booth Road, for a distance of 90 metres in a north easterly direction, in the Borough of Rossendale.

An alternative route for vehicular traffic and cyclists affected by the closure is via: -

Todd Carr Road – Bridge Street – Burnley Road East – Booth Road and vice versa.

Access to properties will be maintained at all times.

The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.

The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow the repair of a sewer to be carried out.

The prohibition will be operative from 08:00 hours on Monday 20th October 2008 until 16:00 hours on Friday 14th November 2008, or until completion of the works within this period.
