Traffic Regulation Order

THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(DOVER LANE/ DUXON HILL, HOGHTON, CHORLEY BOROUGH)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2008

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle or cycle from proceeding over that length of Dover Lane/Duxon Hill, Hoghton, from Dover Farm to Duxon Hill cottages, in the Borough of Chorley.

An alternative route for vehicular traffic and cyclists affected by the closure is via: -

Dover Lane – Hoghton Lane – Sandy Lane – Windmill Lane and vice versa.  

Access to properties will be maintained at all times.

The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.

The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow a low voltage electricity cable to be renewed.

The prohibition will be operative from 09:00 hours on Saturday 4th October 2008 until 17:00 hours on Saturday 22nd November 2008, or until completion of the works within this period.
