Traffic Regulation Order
THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(HANTS LANE, ORMSKIRK, WEST LANCASHIRE DISTRICT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) 2008
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have under Section 14(2)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, temporarily restricted any motor vehicle or cycle from proceeding over that length of Hants Lane, Ormskirk, from its junction with Green Lane to its junction with Southport Road, in the District of West Lancashire. It is necessary that the prohibition should come into force without delay due to the likelihood of danger to the public.
An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via: -
Southport Road - Green Lane and vice versa.
Access to properties will be maintained at all times.
The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.
The temporary closure is necessary to allow emergency water main repair works to be carried out.
The prohibition of vehicular traffic will operate from 09:00 hours on Monday 29th September 2008 until 18:00 hours on Friday 10th October 2008, or until completion of the works if earlier.
