Traffic Regulation Order

THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(BEECH DRIVE, FULWOOD, PRESTON CITY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2008

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle or cycle from proceeding over that length of Beech Drive, Fulwood, from its junction with Garstang Road to its junction with Hazelmere Road, in the City of Preston.

An alternative route for vehicular traffic and cyclists affected by the closure is via: -

Garstang Road – Lightfoot Lane – Hazelmere Road and vice versa.   

Access to properties will be maintained.

The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.

The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow footway reconstruction to be carried out.

The prohibition will be operative from 08:00 hours to 16:00 hours on each day from Monday to Friday during the period beginning 13th October 2008 until 5th December 2008, or until completion of the works within this period. It is expected that the road will be closed in sections as required.
