Traffic Regulation Order

THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(PARKLANDS DRIVE, PRESTON, PRESTON CITY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2008

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle or cycle from proceeding over that length of Parklands Drive, Preston, from its junction with Moorfields Avenue to its junction with Garstang Road, in the City of Preston.

An alternative route for vehicular traffic and cyclists affected by the closure is via: -

Garstang Road – Sharoe Green Lane – Brooklands Avenue – South Drive – Broadwood Drive – Moorfields Avenue and vice versa.  

Access to properties will be maintained where possible.

The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.

The temporary prohibition is necessary to carry out tree removal and associated works.

The prohibition will be operative from Monday 29th September 2008 until Monday 13th October 2008, or until completion of the works within this period.
