Traffic Regulation Order

THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(LUTWIDGE AVENUE, PRESTON, PRESTON CITY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2008

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle or cycle from proceeding over that length of Lutwidge Avenue, Preston, from its junction with Skeffington Road for a distance of 60 metres in a south westerly direction, in the City of Preston.

An alternative route for vehicular traffic and cyclists affected by the closure is via: -

Skeffington Road – St. Chads Road – un-named road between Nos. 16 and 18 St. Chads Road and Nos. 15 and 17 Lutwidge Avenue and vice versa.  

Pedestrian access to properties will be maintained at all times.

The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.

The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow carriageway reconstruction works to be carried out.

The prohibition will be operative from Monday 29th September 2008 until Friday 17th October 2008, or until completion of the works within this period.
