(VARLEY STREET, COLNE, PENDLE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2008
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle or cycle from proceeding over that length of Varley Street, Colne, from its junction with Skipton Road to its junction with Fern Street, in the Borough of Pendle.
An alternative route for vehicular traffic and cyclists affected by the closure is via: -
Oak Street – Vincent Street – Thorn Grove.
Pedestrian access to properties will be maintained at all times.
The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow highway resurfacing works to be carried out.
The prohibition will be operative from 08:00 hours on Monday 29th September 2008 until 17:00 hours on Friday 10th October 2008, or until completion of the works within this period.
