THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(BLACKGATE LANE, TARLETON, WEST LANCASHIRE DISTRICT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2008
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle or cycle from proceeding over that length of Blackgate Lane, Tarleton, from its junction with Hunters Lane to its junction with Park Lane, in the District of West Lancashire.
An alternative route for vehicular traffic and cyclists affected by the closure is via: -
Mere Brow Lane – Moss Hey Lane – Southport New Road – Blackgate Lane and vice versa.
Access will be maintained to all properties.
The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow highway maintenance works to be carried out.
The prohibition will be operative from 09:00 hours Saturday 20th September 2008 until 17:00 hours Friday 3rd October 2008, or until completion of the works within this period.
