THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(BANKS ROAD, BANKS, WEST LANCASTER DISTRICT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2008
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle, cycle or pedestrians from proceeding over that length of Banks Road, Banks from outside number 76 in both directions for 50 metres, in the District of West Lancashire.
An alternative route for vehicular traffic and cyclists affected by the closure is via: -
Banks Road – Church Road – Hoole Lane – Station Road – Water Lane and vice versa.
Access to properties will be maintained at all times.
The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow crane operations and movement of a portacabin to be carried out.
The prohibition will be operative from:
0900 hours until 1700 hours on Sunday 21st September 2008
0900 hours until 1700 hours on Sunday 28th September 2008
0900 hours until 1700 hours on Sunday 5th October 2008, or until completion of the works within this period.
