THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(PATTEN STREET, PRESTON, PRESTON CITY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2008
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle or cycle from proceeding over that length of Patten Street, Preston, for its whole length from its junction with Walker Street to its junction with Great Shaw Street, in the City of Preston.
An alternative route for vehicular traffic and cyclists affected by the closure is via: -
Great Shaw Street – Snow Hill and vice versa.
Access to be maintained where possible.
The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow gas main renewal works to be carried out.
The prohibition will be operative from Monday 22nd September 2008 until Monday 17th November 2008, or until completion of the works within this period.
