THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(ASPEN LANE AREA, OSWALDTWISTLE, HYNDBURN BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2008
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle or cycle from proceeding over those lengths of roads, in the Borough of Hyndburn, as specified in the first column of the Schedule to this Notice.
The main alternative routes for vehicular traffic and cyclists affected by the closures are specified in the second column of the Schedule.
Access will be maintained to all properties.
The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow sewer repairs, highway maintenance and for the installation of Traffic Calming features.
The prohibition will be operative from 09.00 hours on Monday 15th September 2008 until 17.00 hours on Sunday 2nd November 2008, as specified in the third column of the Schedule, or until completion of the works within this period.
