(SPRING HILL ROAD, THE CHESTNUT RISE – SPRING HILL ROAD FOOTHPATH, BURNLEY, BURNLEY BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2008
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle, cycle or pedestrian from proceeding over that length of:
1) Spring Hill Road, Burnley, from its junction with Manchester Road for a distance of 75 metres in a southerly direction;
2) The Chestnut Rise – Spring Hill Road Footpath for its entire length, a distance of 66 metres, in the Borough of Burnley.
An alternative route for vehicular traffic and cyclists affected by the closure is via: -
Manchester Road – Clevelands Road – Berry Street and vice-versa.
The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow re-construction of a retaining wall to be carried out.
The prohibition will be operative from 0900 hours on Monday 1st September 2008 until 1700 hours on Wednesday 31st December 2008, or until completion of the works within this period.
