(B6239 ST MATTHEW STREET, BURNLEY, BURNLEY BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2008
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle or cycle from proceeding over that length of B6239 St Matthew Street, Burnley for a distance of 270 metres, from its junction with Manchester Road to its junction with Raglan Road, in the Borough of Burnley.
An alternative route for vehicular traffic and cyclists affected by the closure is via: -
Manchester Road – Scott Park Road and Coal Clough Lane.
Access for residents shall remain at all times.
The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow gas main replacement.
The prohibition will be operative from 0900 hours on Tuesday 26th August 2008 until 1700 hours on Tuesday 7th October 2008, or until completion of the works within this period.
