THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(ENFIELD CLOSE, STATION ROAD, HUNCOAT, ACCRINGTON, HYNDBURN BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2008
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle or cycle from proceeding over that length of Enfield Close, Station Road, Huncoat, for 20 metres either side of the barriers of the level crossing.
An alternative route for vehicular traffic and cyclists affected by the closure is via: -
Enfield Road – Bolton Avenue – A679 Burnley Road – Higher Gate Road – Lower Gate Road – Station Road and vice versa.
Access will be maintained to all properties.
The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow maintenance to the level crossing.
The prohibition will be operative from:
1) 2330 hours on Monday 1st September 2008 until 0530 hours on Tuesday 2nd September 2008
2) 2330 hours on Saturday 22nd November 2008 until 0530 hours on Monday 24th November 2008.
3) 2330 hours on Sat 29th November 2008 until 0530 hours on Monday 1st December 2008, or until completion of the works within this period.
