Traffic Regulation Order

THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(REGENT STREET, THROSTLE STREET, NELSON, PENDLE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2008

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle or cycle from proceeding over those lengths of Regent Street and Throstle Street, Nelson, in the Borough of Pendle, as specified in the first column of the Schedule to this Notice.

The main alternative routes for vehicular traffic and cyclists affected by the closures are specified in the second column of the Schedule.

Access to properties will be maintained at all times.

The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.

The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow improvements to Hendon Culvert.

The prohibition will be operative from Saturday 16th August 2008 until Saturday 13th December 2008, or until completion of the works if earlier.

Regent Street, adjacent to its junction with Bankhouse Road for a distance of approximately 10 metres

Bankhouse Road - Crawford Street

Throstle Street, outside numbers 8 to 12 next to Bankhouse Road.
