(TEMPORARY EXEMPTION TO EXISTING NO WAITING RESTRICTION)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)ORDER 2008
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to
A Temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle except for permit holders from waiting at any time on:
Corporation Street service road, Preston, south east side, from a point 8.5 metres from its junction with Corporation Street for a distance of 13.6 metres in a north easterly direction.
B Temporarily exempt taxis from the existing No Waiting at any Time restriction on:
Corporation Street service road, Preston, south east side from a point 15 metres from its junction with Fleet Street for a distance of 27 metres in a south westerly direction.
C Temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle or cycle except for taxis and permit holders from proceeding over the whole length of Corporation Street service road, Preston from its junction with Fleet Street to its junction with Corporation Street, in the City of Preston.
Access to properties will be maintained.
The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.
The temporary prohibitions are necessary to allow for the establishment of a temporary taxi rank during works at Preston Railway Station
The prohibitions will be operative from Saturday 7th June 2008 until Monday 30th November 2009, or until completion of the works within this period.
