Traffic Regulation Order

THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(A683 LANCASTER/MORECAMBE BYPASS, HEYSHAM, LANCASTER CITY)

(TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2008

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any person to cause or permit any motor vehicle or cycle from proceeding at a speed exceeding 30MPH over that length of A683 Lancaster/Morecambe bypass, Heysham, from a point of 600 metres east of its junction with A589 Middleton Road, for a distance of 500 metres in an easterly direction, in the City of Lancaster. 

The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.

The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow construction of a roundabout and access road to Lancaster West Business Park works to be carried out.

The prohibition will be operative from 0000 hours on Sunday 30th March 2008 until 0000 hours on Sunday 5th October 2008, or until completion of the works within this period.
