THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(NAVIGATION WAY, PRESTON, PRESTON CITY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) (NO. 2) ORDER 2007
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle or cycle from proceeding over that length of Navigation Way, Preston, from its junction with Maritime Way, to a point 100 metres south of its junction with Ferry Road, in the City of Preston.
An alternative route for vehicular traffic and cyclists affected by the closure is via: -
Navigation Way – Port Way – Mariners Way – Navigation Way – and vice versa.
Access to properties will be available at all times.
The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow inspection of, and maintenance to the swing bridge, lock gates, railway crossing barriers and signals to be carried out at various times between the dates indicated.
The prohibition will be operative from:
Monday 7th January 2008 until Friday 18th January 2008;
Wednesday 26th March 2008 until Friday 28th March 2008;
Wednesday 24th September 2008 until Friday 26th September 2008;
Tuesday 24th March 2009 until Friday 27th 2009, or until completion of the works within these time periods.
