COUNTRYSIDE RECREATION FACILITIES

Countryside Rangers, maintaining, enhancing and providing visitor management for key facilities,
Beacon Fell and Wycoller Country Parks, Spring Wood, Crook O'Lune and Conder Green Picnic Sites, Preston Junction, Warton cragg and Withnell Fold Local Nature Reserves. The Coastal, the Ribble Way and around 80 urban fringe reclamation schemes and amenity woodlands.

WEST PENNINE MOORS AND ROSSENDALE

The Countryside Ranger Service in the West Pennine Moors is now managed by United Utilities Ltd. on behalf of the West Pennine Moors Area management Committee. Anyone who would like to work as a volunteer Ranger in this area should contact United Utilities at Rivington Water treatment Works, Bolton Road, HORWICH BL6 7RN.
