North Lancashire Bridleway Extension
I am working with the consultants to develop the extension of the North Lancashire Bridleway to link over to the Pennine Bridleway, and to provide linkages into the existing Bridleway networks around Bolton-by Bowland, Grindleton and West Bradford, and also the Ribchester and Chipping areas.
I am also considering linkages from Gisbuurn Forest towards the Settle area utilising the network of Green Lanes, Bridleways and Unclassified County Roads that exist in this area.
Gisburn Forest Cycleways
As part of the Upper Hodder Management Group, a focus group has been established to review the existing cycling facilities and routes in Gisburn Forest and to look at how the network could be improved to provide a wider range of routes for different ability groups and to also look at linkages to existing businesses in the area which may link into this iniative.
Some initial thoughts have been mapped and further information on this project can be obtained from Lancashire Countryside Service.
