We may be able to copy documents for you, although limitations may apply. We will need either a precise catalogue reference for the document you want or sufficient information for us to identify it in our catalogues and indexes.
Certain documents, for instance those which are too large or which are likely to be damaged by the photocopying process, cannot be copied. Please see our copying policy for details of what we can and can't copy
Because of copyright legislation (The Copyright, Designs and Patents Act (1988)), we need a signed copyright declaration (word document) before proceeding with your order. This prevents you from using the copy for anything but private research, unless you personally obtain permission to do otherwise from the copyright owner. The declaration should be printed off and sent to us with your signature, contact details, and details of the records you would like copying. We will then contact you with an estimate for the work and suggest payment options. Copying by means other than photocopying can also be undertaken: microfilms, photographs, certified copies and scanned images can all be supplied. The procedure is the same as with photocopies.
