Central/Corporate Expenditure Fund

In some circumsances we can give grants for:

• Strategic funding, which covers core costs, things like payment of salaries, rent on premises, cost of telephones, postage and photocopying. Most of these grants will be covered by grant funding Service Level Agreements. We will inform organisations of the circumstances in which we may terminate or change the funding arrangements. Normally we will give 12 months notice that we intend to stop funding. Strategic funding has a deadline of 15 December 2006. If your application is postmarked after this date we will not be able to consider it.

• Development funding may be given to VCFS groups at particular periods when they need it to enable them to grow and develop in a particular direction. For example, this may be because a group needs to increase its capacity before it can take advantage of an opportunity to grow or expand. It is allocated for an agreed period of time, up to three years.

• Project funding for one off events or activities. These are events that have a clear start and end date within the funding period in which the application is made. These grants are given on a one-off basis; if the event occurs annually, you will need to apply again next year.

Applications to the Central/Corporate Expenditure Fund should ideally be given priority if they have a countywide remit or affect more than one district of the county.
