Overlooking Lake Windermere, our boathouse provides changing areas with showers and toilets, together with a studio room with balcony affording stunning views of the Lake District. We have available for use: sailing dinghies, canoes, kayaks, windsurfers, powerboats and a 12-passenger motor launch. Our private jetties and landing area make access to Lake Windermere convenient and easy.
Tower Wood is an Edwardian house although the oldest part of the building dates back to the 17th century. The house was once owned by Arthur Ransome’s publishers and the author of Swallows and Amazons himself was a regular visitor to the house. The main house can accommodate 49 people residentially in bunk bedded rooms.
If, however, you wish to use our conference facilities but require single occupancy bedrooms with pool/leisure facilities, we can arrange this through our contacts with a nearby lake-shore hotel.
This stone building serves as an equipment/clothing store for land based activities. We can provide all the necessary specialised, clothing and equipment to ensure your group enjoys the Lake District, no matter what the weather.
Plenty of safe parking, lake access, meadowland, bluebell woodland and hard surfaced paths. Many of our Team Building challenges can be found around the site, from vertical challenges to a Low Ropes course. Beyond the gates, the challenging natural environment of the Lake District beckons.
